# Future Mississauga: Road Crossings refinement notes

Model review date: **20 September 2026**. These notes describe the source-derived additions and presentation changes. The picture index and atlas build manifest record which final images were packaged.

## More current building geometry

The current [refinement record](../data/refinement-models.json) is the authoritative building-supplement inventory. Its asset list can contain multiple assets for one project. Separate source dates, permitted display modes, replacement controls and accuracy limits remain attached to each entry; no fixed total here is substituted for the evolving canonical record.

These are individually traced or source-derived models. A dimensioned roof, floor plate or survey control can improve one part of a model without validating its facades, construction stage or whole site. Cooksville GO retains its dated 2025 concept label because a matching architectural set for the 2026 revision is unavailable. Source-model exclusions and duplicate controls still apply.

**Absolute World now uses distinct completed tower forms.** The south tower at 60 Absolute is represented at the published 175.6 m architectural height and 56 floors, with a varying 209° twist; the north tower at 50 Absolute uses 157.9 m, 50 floors and a constant 4° per-storey rotation. Conflicting source tower geometry is removed while the shared municipal podium remains. Intermediate south rotations, registration, floor subdivisions and facade details remain interpreted; the nominal heights do not make the whole model a certified as-built reconstruction. [Absolute correction and primary sources](revamp/Absolute-model-correction.md).

**1315 Bough Beeches uses the March 2026 proposal.** Its dimensioned 13-storey envelope rises 52.0 m above the stated grade, with a 47.8 × 18.1 m typical plate. The survey and existing tower support registration. Podium and screen outlines follow the published plan; screen thickness, material appearance and simplified floor bands are illustrative. The existing building is retained, and the new proposal appears only in the future scenario. [Bough Beeches model and sources](revamp/Bough-Beeches-plan-model.json).

**70 Park Street East uses the 33-storey settlement’s 105.7 m height limit.** The settlement zoning envelope does not establish exact facade architecture. The superseded 38-storey scheme remains excluded.

## Construction means a dated observation

The construction evidence file separates completed structures, actual progress, planned geometry and unknown height gaps. Floor counts are not converted into metres with a generic multiplier. Topping out or phased occupancy does not prove all cladding, commissioning or phases are complete.

- **M City M3** — 2026-07-15: Architecturally topped out; phased occupancy, commissioning and final finishes underway.
- **M City M4** — Spring 2026 (seasonal developer update, exact day unstated): Under construction: concrete slab through level 41; glazing through level 26.
- **M City M5** — Spring 2026 (seasonal developer update, exact day unstated): Under construction: concrete slab through level 27, windows through level 11.
- **Voya at Parkside Village** — 2026-08-09: Both towers structurally topped; taller roof work incomplete and shorter occupancy not yet confirmed.
- **Exchange District / EX1** — 2025-11 (photograph described in 2026-02-13 report): Topped out; magenta mechanical crown complete; hoist still attached.
- **Exchange District / EX2** — 2026-01 (photograph described in 2026-02-13 report): Topped out; yellow mechanical crown complete; upper residential glazing unfinished.
- **Exchange District / EX3** — 2026-01: Under construction at roughly the 46th floor in January 2026; still growing in August 2026 photo caption.

M3 now includes an **approximate stepped crown silhouette** anchored to the published 260.29 m maximum. The intermediate terrace widths and heights are interpreted from photographs, with estimated ±6 m profile uncertainty. The crown inherits the earlier upper-envelope registration and join uncertainty; open mechanical cavities, steelwork and complete facade detail remain omitted. A topped structure does not establish finished enclosure or occupancy.

The recorded-construction mode includes dated M3 and Voya structural envelopes, a clipped M4 envelope reflecting the published level-41 slab, and only the sourced topped Exchange phases. It omits the full M5 proxy and unmeasured EX3 construction height. The future mode may show their planned or source-derived full envelopes. Unknown progress is a visible limitation, not a guessed floor-height conversion.

## Lakeview additions and remaining gaps

Ten approximate Aura townhome envelopes fill a real gap outside the 26 old City Lakeview components. Seven come from the June 2026 developer plan; three additional blocks appear in the currently linked image whose filename suggests August 2026. They use two City street junctions and four common roof points for approximate registration. The marketing scale bar conflicts with City spacing, so it is not used as survey scale.

Aura stays **Uncertain** and future-only. Its declared interpretive limits are approximately ±10 m placement, ±3 m roof outline and **13 m estimated height with ±3.5 m uncertainty**. The height is inferred from a registered bay width and the proportions of the developer’s illustrative facade; it is not a published architectural dimension. Roofs, balconies, basements and facade articulation are omitted. Pier House still lacks a recoverable registered footprint plan and remains a documented geometry gap.

Existing waterfront scenery adds **13 closed City pier polygons from 2024 linework** and one complete mapped OSM beach polygon. Actual horizontal outlines are retained; deck thickness/elevation and small terrain offsets are illustrative. Proposed cultural-pier upgrades, future marina, boardwalk and park furniture are not presented as built. [Lakeview sources and limits](../models/supplemental/refinement-lakeview/README.md).

Read the selected mode before interpreting a silhouette. A future picture can include a planned full envelope that is not the recorded construction height. Some current progress cannot be drawn reliably and remains an explicit gap.

## Surface orientation correction

The legacy M3 upper envelope and M4 shells had inward-facing triangles. Their face order has been corrected without moving a vertex, changing the shape, adding a face or altering source metadata. M3 retains its intentional open lower connection ring. This correction improves surface rendering; it does not increase architectural accuracy.

The final Brightwater P/Q podium check removes overlapping cap regions while preserving the concept’s exterior footprints and height limits. Existing-building replacement controls now identify five exact municipal records inside combined meshes, preserving their original triangles and baseline appearance. These are surface and visibility corrections, not new architectural evidence. [Surface validation](Brightwater-surface-validation.json), [replacement validation](Existing-building-replacement-validation.json).

## Roads, bridges and transit

The earlier road-visibility repair cut road footprints out of competing terrain and green surfaces. This fixes the independently triangulated terrain covering parts of highways and ramps. Tests at 25,000 road triangle centroids in each of Downtown, Uptown and Port Credit found zero covered points after the change, versus 8.068%, 9.848% and 5.576% before. This validates visibility, not surveyed road elevations.

Existing street context still includes source-derived bridge spans, mapped lane paint and accepted shelter footprints. Their mixed-date surface fits and limits remain documented. The preceding at-grade-only HML rail supplement is now historical: the current rebuild includes the City Centre flyover network with explicit inferred counterpart and vertical-profile labels.

The atlas includes the **existing Milton, Lakeshore West and Kitchener GO corridors** and the **existing Mississauga Transitway** in every scenario. GO route membership and nine station points follow Metrolinx’s September 17, 2026 GTFS. City 2024 photogrammetric Railway lines supply physical track detail. Both current MiWay route 109 directions serve the Transitway’s 12 stations. Its Erin Mills–City Centre link includes Highway 403 and street running; it is not shown as uninterrupted dedicated busway. [GO data](https://www.gotransit.com/en/partner-with-us/software-developers), [MiWay data](https://www.mississauga.ca/miway-transit/developer-download/).

The **HML core network appears in construction and future modes**. Its north, south and City Centre arms now join; the mapped first track is retained and incomplete second-track mapping is reconciled with disclosed schematic counterparts. Mapped maintenance access connects to the core and is distinguished from passenger service. Route ends have a purpose: station terminal, connected junction or labelled municipal-boundary exit. Segment clipping preserves connected paths instead of joining unrelated surviving points. The close-up wye bed is one joined surface to prevent overlapping-ribbon artifacts. [Transit manifest](../models/supplemental/transit-revamp/transit-layer-manifest.json), [route, station and exit data](../models/supplemental/transit-revamp/transit-network.json).

**The new flyover is represented, but its engineering profile is not verified.** The displayed Highway 403 junction deck is at 165 m above CGVD2013, or model Y = 95 m; 165 m is an illustrative elevation, not bridge length or a measured deck level. Three mapped bridge spans receive restrained guideway envelopes with illustrative margins and depth. Exact pier positions, switch geometry and the missing counterpart connector are not established by public engineering drawings. The inferred wye crossing, track spacing where absent from mapping and Port Credit descent remain schematic. This must not be presented as an as-built track model.

The coloured routes use a consistent system colour: GO stays green, the Transitway blue and HML gold. The dedicated busway and its current street/highway connection use the same blue, with segment labels preserving their meaning. Thin unlit guide strips are separate from grey physical tracks, but both now occupy the same three-dimensional scene. Buildings, ground, station roofs and bridges naturally hide sections behind or beneath them. Their widths and elevations remain illustrative.

The earlier Transit Depth correction removed the always-visible foreground overlay and the rule that lifted a lower route above every overlapping surface. Its 28-asset and 810-mesh checks document that historical repair. The Road Crossings edition subsequently transfers only supported road-associated Transitway portions onto the repaired road profiles; GO and HML files remain byte-identical to the prior edition. Horizontal alignment, system colours and normal scene depth remain unchanged. An overhead bridge does not lift a lower route onto it. The earlier 509,181-sample visibility audit describes a superseded display method. See the [historical Transit Depth geometry proof](transit-depth/Geometry-depth-correction.json), [source and alignment review](transit-depth/Transit-depth-review.md), and the current [road-associated transit audit](road-crossings/Transit-road-association-audit.json) and [dependent-layer checks](road-crossings/Dependent-layer-QA.json).

The source review supports the real off-road Highway 403 flyover and the approach beneath the GO railway at Port Credit. It does not support snapping those alignments onto traffic lanes. The 2024 pavement data also omit portions of newer reserved track space. No horizontal reroute is claimed. Exact engineering profiles, inferred counterpart tracks and switch geometry retain their stated uncertainty. A route disappearing behind a physical obstruction is expected occlusion; the underlying route remains connected. Composed pictures use full municipal transit assets, while district windows clip and identify continuations at their boundaries.

The station layer has nine GO, 12 Transitway and 16 HML locators inside Mississauga. City Centre and North Service are approximate corridor locators with explicit uncertainty; none of these points is a newly verified station footprint. The two earlier mapped HML platform polygons at Derry and Courtneypark and the separately labelled future LRVs may be retained, with their original schematic canopy/vehicle limits. The previous disconnected rail ribbons and broad duplicate gold alignment are replaced, not stacked with the rebuilt tracks. The downtown HML extension remains a separate planning/design project; an invented loop or extension to Brightwater or Lakeview is not drawn. [Metrolinx downtown extension](https://www.metrolinx.com/en/projects-and-programs/hazel-mccallion-line-downtown-mississauga-extension).

Earlier colour and always-visible service-guide checks remain as [historical visibility validation](revamp/transit-visibility/visibility-audit.json). Their file hashes and clearance method do not describe the current Road Crossings geometry.

The terrain remains a mixed-date public Ontario DTM. Tree inventory points are real municipal locations; crown sizes are illustrative. Additional woodland canopy instances depict coverage inside actual City wooded polygons and are not individually surveyed trees.

## Road Crossings revision

The [road-crossing review](road-crossings/Road-crossings-review.md) documents 107 profile or strip records, not 107 distinct bridges. Historical native surface data support bounded deck and approach reconstructions; six newer-road records use explicit grade estimates. Original terrain and water meshes are preserved, with separate bounded ground and river underlays beneath corrected crossings. The [independent geometry checks](road-crossings/Independent-context-QA.json) and [original-footprint coverage checks](road-crossings/Original-footprint-coverage-QA.json) test the disclosed reconstruction, not current engineering accuracy. Road triangulation is locally refined, separate upper decks protect lower roads, and associated paint and sidewalks follow their matched road surfaces.

## Pictures and exploration

Original lossless PNGs remain the picture masters and the website download format. The picture index identifies the current aerials, perspectives, skyline stages and revision close-ups. PDF image compression is separate and does not alter the originals. Native selection controls, direct links and comparison handles remain available; recorded-construction mode uses dated building evidence rather than full planned envelopes.

The revision checkpoints separate lighting and landscape changes. The [lighting record](../checkpoints/01-lighting/Checkpoint.json) records fixed framing, unchanged geometry and the lighting settings. The [landscape record](../checkpoints/02-landscape/Checkpoint.json) keeps the same camera and documents unchanged building geometry during that step. These are controlled comparisons, not claims that later model corrections were already present in the earlier picture.

The Downtown landscape overlay uses City-mapped sidewalk, playground, sport and field outlines plus the registered 2023 Celebration Square amenities plan. The lawn and central paving are distinguished; ambiguous broad enclosures, invented trail widths and unbuilt refurbishment designs are omitted. Original inventory-tree coordinates remain intact. Conflicting crowns may be reduced or suppressed for display, with separate baseline/future decisions; suppression does not establish that a tree was removed. This detailed audit covers the compact Downtown window, not every tree or landscape surface citywide. Small terrain-clearance lifts are display adjustments, not kerb heights. [Landscape source and limits](../models/supplemental/revamp-landscape/READ-ME.md).

The website retains original PNG downloads, direct district/model links, native selection controls, comparison handles and recorded-construction mode. A downloaded building GLB is only one part of that layered assembly; it does not contain the landscape, transit, camera or lighting by itself.

## Scope and evidence

Use the current project inventory, municipal-group audit, refinement manifest and transit manifest for their respective totals. The asset table is generated from the current canonical register. The transit rebuild has its own [research log](../models/supplemental/transit-revamp/research-log.json), recording source operations including unsuccessful or rejected historical sources. Searches, reads and API requests are not independent websites; repeated local geometry checks are not counted as web research.

Project records, model components and supplemental assets are different units. District windows overlap, so district counts must not be added together. Old age and receivership do not demonstrate official cancellation. Unresolved source versions remain violet by default; demonstrably superseded and duplicate versions stay excluded.

## Website and publication revision · 21 September 2026

The gallery displays lossless PNG previews at half each original dimension: 1920×1200 or 1920×700. Download links retain the native 3840-pixel PNG masters. The same three-building mark appears in the gallery, explorer, favicons, sharing graphic and saved viewer pictures. Comparison dividers can be dragged directly and adjusted with arrow keys; option menus use native browser controls.

The 3D viewer has explicit Orbit/Pan modes, pointer-centred zoom, zoom buttons and keyboard controls. Ground-plane panning avoids unintentionally lifting the camera target into the sky. Transit uses normal depth testing, and model selection respects foreground geometry. Superseded district loads and their graphics resources are cleaned up. Model URLs include current asset hashes to prevent stale geometry being mixed with revised data.

The small inherited black notch at the airport runway intersection is also resolved. Overlapping faces were reconciled within the existing runway footprint, without refitting heights or changing taxiways and aprons. Airport Corporate, Malton and Citywide were rerendered and visually checked; the other thirty picture pixel hashes stayed unchanged.
